The Female or Spiritual Node of the Sixth Day - Manik

The last node in the matrix is the Female or Spiritual polarity and it is Manik.  This is symbolized in glyph and nature by the Maya as the deer.  Not the deer of small “bambi-ness” but the larger, stag-like deer,  especially with long white tail.

 

This deer represents the pillar of the four directions from which everything in the world was created.  And the pillars of spiritual strength.  The four legs represent the four directions, the four corners of the universe, and the four elements.

 

Manik is Sspirit's tool which upholds the four pillars of the directions.

 

The Daykeepers say deer is authority. It is the strength and power that carry the burden of the destiny of mankind as it goes about in its spiritual direction. It is the strength and energy of the four cardinal points that were required for the creation of the world.

 

It is moving in the direction of spirit - inspiring - following the tail of the deer.

 

The stage of Manik is when a spiritual path – like plasma before lightening – is formed and creates direction for the energy to flow.  It is unseen or detected and yet it is the container which will guide everything to come. It is the four directions and everything in between them and it represents all of their potential.

 

In Mayan communities it is the day of the hierarchy and thus it is the day to celebrate and do ceremony for the teachers and all the spiritual guides.

Manik in the matrix always means an ability to go in many directions.  And a gift in providing guidance in direction.  Manik people are chosen because of their knowledge of the spiritual aspects of direction.

 

The creative tone of this left side or feminine is 6 which is Flowing and will be in polarity with the male of revealing.

 

Again, I think the meaning for this time cycle is pretty darn clear.  This will be a time to get clarity about how to flow in the direction that our spirit intends.  Toward whatever “destiny” you have been wondering about if it hasn’t been clear up to now.

 

 

The Male or Material Node of the Sixth Day - Men

The Day Lord for this Male or Material polarity is Men.  Men is represented by the Maya in glyph and nature as the eagle.  This is the highest perspective on the earth.  This energy is the intermediary with divine energy.  With this energy comes the highest perspective possible without being actually god or in heaven.  This is the stage of the first ability to see what is possible on that path which is calling us.

 

The Daykeepers say that it is the bird of freedom. It is the representation of everything that exists in space that we humans can perceive.

 

Men carries and transmits the prayers to the Creator because Men can reach the highest realms of space.  The vision and perspective of Men is well developed at all levels – close and far.

 

Men in the matrix always means an abundance of spiritual wealth because spiritual information is close to them.

 

I don’t think we need to stretch too far to see what having Men in the matrix in the Material polarity means for this particular time!

 

It will be a time to get the highest possible perspective on our material goals, possessions and desires.  And material in the sense of things as well as our bodies as they are physically manifested.  That the creative tone for Men is revealing would simple mean that our material perspective on life can be revealed to us in ways we have never been aware of it before.

 

 

The Future Node of the Sixth Day - Muluc

The Future Node of this Sixth Day Birth Matrix is Muluc and is represented in glyph and nature by the Maya as a puma.  It has two general aspects:  one of offering and one of magnetism.  On days of Muluc the Daykeepers ALWAYS remind us to offer or pay for the gifts we have received.  And the magnetism of Muluc is manifested in the human being as emotions.

The aspect of the offering is pretty straightforward.  It is like offering in ceremony and paying for the gifts of the creator.  Muluc always reminds us to be in the action of the offering or the payment and Muluc can also manifest as the reaction to the payment.   In its second aspect of magnetism or water, the Maya always use water in ceremony - in appreciation.

The Daykeepers say that it is rain and offering.

It also has the aspect of water and magnetism which manifest in humans as emotions.

Emotions that fuel the movement of action.  This energy would be what  provides attractive force in today's Law of Attraction context.  This “law” is not at all new, of course, and Muluc is the mediator of that energy of manifestation.  It can be seen as the birth of the emotional body.  Out of all those things that are possible and those that you see – the ones that attract us magnetize us emotionally. The energy of the emotions that draw and form us.

Muluc in the matrix always means a person who can magnetize creation with ceremony and if it is in the matrix then those persons are encouraged to learn to do ceremony in any way that makes meaning for them - every 20 days on this day.

And so what does it mean for this cycle to have Muluc in the Future node?

           

• By all means observe every Muluc day with a ceremony of giving thanks

• This is a critical time to “pay” for gifts and acknowledge abundance with gratitude

• Attend to what attracts and repels you at the most basic level and learn to cultivate this attention.  Use the attention to guide your choices in life.

In the next two posts we'll meet Manik and Men - Spiritual Direction and Divine Perspective - which are the two polarities of this Birth Matrix.  To be honest, I think these are the two most important in this one and look forward to 360 days of learning to balance the powers of Direction/Perspective along with Flowing/Revealing.

 

Past Day Energy for the Sixth Day - Ben

The Past Node for the Sixth Day Birth Matrix is Ben.  Ben is symbolized by the Maya in glyph and nature as a reed or sometimes a can.  It represents personal power and individual mind.  The glyph refers to the Staff of personal power or the Sacred Bundle that an initiate carries – the power is personal and always comes from the Creator.

So this is inner power represented by your personal World Tree, and it represents personal organization of one’s talents and energies toward a direction.  This personal organization is always related to home/family/community/nations and points to the commitment to that wider level beyond self.

This is the first energy of the personal and of identity. After this station of consciousness is the personal and conscious path of evolution - before Ben it is the collective, personal unconscious and the pre-incarnation. 

The Daykeepers say it is the cane or rod that develops unity and is the triumph over all evil.

Ben in the matrix always means a highly developed singleness of mind, tough and analytical mind and conscious ego.  If highly connected spiritually, people with this in the matrix are given the station to govern and be diplomats at whatever level they are operating in the world. 

So what can we expect from a cycle of time with this Day Lord in the Past Node?

           

• It is a time to look carefully at and sort through our own personal “sacred bundle” and acknowledge our talents, strengths and community-centered attributes that we bring to others around us

• It is a time to get clarity about our own personal identity – identify ourselves to ourselves as well as to others.

Central Birth Energy for the Sixth Day - Imix

 

The Central Birth Energy of The Sixth Day is Imix or “The Void.”

It is symbolized in nature and glyph by the Maya as ALLIGATOR.  This is the alligator or the turtle sometimes, from which all creation has been made.  Some famous Mayan drawings show all of creation being built upon the back of a turtle – just as we know that all things have once been no-thing.  It all comes from the void.  This is the primal creative force arising from the collective unconscious.

 It is the closest energy to being fully grounded in the void, the universal field of creation, deepest collective unconscious.  The Popul Vhu (which is the creation story of the Maya) says that “everything there is that might be is simply not there.”  This is the essence of every thing that will every manifest.  It is the universal field of creation, Binah in terms of the Kaballah.  It represents The Unknown and The Essence.

The Daykeepers say it is a symbol of the hidden forces in the universe. They say it can be an energy of hope or negativity as it has no inherent quality.  How it manifests depends on  the thought that the person has.

It is the field of all possibility – from the finite to the infinite.

Imix in the matrix always means that the person has a deep comfort with the unknown – bringing information from the unknown to the known as in a scientific endeavor, or as a visionary.

So what can we human beings expect from a cycle of “time” that has this Central Birth Energy in its matrix?

           

• Scientific breakthroughs – particularly in our understanding of the void

•  Our own personal ability to be powerful and creative in the face of the unknown can be optimized

•  We can mobilize ‘something from nothing’ during this time in creative ways – how we use this vast energy of the void is up to us

•  Clarity about things that heretofore have been hidden

           

In short, this would be a particularly fruitful time to investigate areas you have been cultivating in the “back of your mind” for a long time.  Also a time to say “it is unknown to me at this time” a lot and gain power from that not-knowingness!

The Sixth Day - Its Central Birth Energy

In a Birth Matrix there are five nodes.  The central node is the one we usually refer to as the Birth Day.  In the case of the Sixth Day this central birth node is 13 Imix.  If you read the Birth Matrix report, you can see that the other four nodes are Past (5 Ben), Future (8 Muluc), Male/Material (7 Men) and Female/Spiritual (6 Manik).

The first thing to note in this matrix is that the 13 energy is paramount, as it is the highest in the matrix.  Therefore, expect a prevailing energy of completion and fruition in the coming cycle.  A person with 13 in the central node would always be moving toward finishing things and getting prepared for the new.

The second thing to notice about the birth matrix are the constellation of creative tones on the "outside."  For this Sixth Day the prevailing energies of creation are moving from Empowering (5), through Flowing (6) and Revealing (7) toward Harmonizing (8).  If this were a person we would talk about the possibility of a comfort zone between Flowing and Revealing.  This would be a place where this person could get stuck.  And one would break out of this comfort zone by Harmonizing.  So, without even looking yet at the Day Energies that are in the matrix, we can see something important about the days to come.  Harmonizing will be something to look at in every situation in which we get stuck.   Not whether we are right or wrong - in fact definitely not whether we are right or wrong.  What will "win the day" will be Harmony.

It is totally up to you to start looking at what having harmony and resonating with a prevailing energy of harmony in the future means to you.   The fact that it is 8 Muluc in the future node gives us a clue that it has to do with harmony in our emotional life.  Your own emotions and those around you.

What Will Clarity Bring to Your Life?

Before I talk more in future posts about exactly what the Birth Matrix for this Sixth Day means for this 360-day cycle, I would like you to first really dwell in some questions about the Fifth Night.

Obviously I take this attunement to the Calendar very literally.  Which means that it is worthwhile to look back at this point to see what you learned in the Fifth Night where the prevailing energy was one of CHALLENGE.

What got challenged in YOUR Fifth Night?  It will be the thing most dear to you – actually to your higher self. If you look at the time between November of 2007 and November of 2008, what in your life that is very important to you received a challenge to its existence?

 

Take your time and really dwell in the answer to these questions.

 

How did it get challenged?  Was the challenge from outside?  I know it will be very easy to target the challenge received from the pervasive "economic" challenge that was globally begun in the Fifth Night.  Dig deeper than that, though, if that's all you can come up with.  For example, look at challenges that came from inside you like your beliefs, attitudes or feelings about something.  Did a relationship get challenged because of some way that you were feeling or acting?  Did something you love very much die?

 

How do you now know it is even more important than ever?  If we take it litterally that the last cycle was one of challenge and that its "purpose" in the creative cycle is to test the growth of creations, then what has survived the challenge is stronger and ready for the next stage of growth.  Take the time now to look at what has survived and how it is valueable to you.

 

Clarity is now the reigning energy and it started on

November 13, 2008

Take some time now to look at areas in your life that you would welcome more clarity.

 

 

In a sense, then, we could say that clarity is was born on that day – and will grow and mature for 360 days.  What are the attributes of a cycle of time born on that day?

So what can its “birth day” tell us about the time to come?  That's what we'll talk about in the next few posts.

Completing Challenge and Initiating Clarity

Today is the first day of a 360-day cycle known traditionally as the Sixth Day.  As the 11th cycle of this period it is a "time" of CLARITY and CLARIFYING ENERGY.

Regular and alert readers already know that I mistakenly posted the information about this day yesterday.  Give me a break please; even the most dedicated of Daykeepers get out of sync on occasion!

The Birth of the Sixth Day is November 13, 2008

Oops.  the downside of post-dating a submission just landed on me.   The Sixth Day of the Galactic Underworld begins on  13 November, tomorrow and not today.  Today is 12 Ahau and tomorrow is 13 Imix.  I aplogize profusely for any confusion.

The Birth of the Sixth Day

Today is the first day of the eleventh cycle of this Underworld - also called by the Maya a "Heaven."  So, since the Heavens are referred to as Days and Nights sequentially,  this is the Sixth Day of this cycle.  The Heavens in this cycle last 360 days.  We just completed the dreaded Fifth Night which is Challenge and enter today the Sixth Day, or 11th cycle which is Clarity.  The creative tone or energy of this cycle will be Clarifying.

I apologize for this very brief introduction which is meant for those already familiar with the Calendar.  I am so busy with my internship training that I just do not have time to re-hash the whole background; so PLEASE just go to my website and at least download the free excerpts from the book "It's About Time:  Navigate it with the Mayan Calendar" if you don't care to buy the book.  That will give you plenty of information to understand what I'll be talking about in the next few posts.

I've decided to consider this day literally the Birth Day of a new cycle and talk about it as though it were the Birth Matrix for a person!  Today is 13 Imix.  And for starters I've attached a copy of a Birth Matrix Report for this day.  We'll talk about it in detail in the next few posts.
